3 Strand Twisted polypropylene

This premium general purpose monofilament rope is strong, lightweight, spliceable and used extensively for most rope requirements. This rope’s highly visible bright yellow color makes it an excellent choice for roping off construction site areas. This economical synthetic rope is nearly twice as strong as manila and it’s smooth surface makes it easier to handle than natural fiber ropes. Polypropylene resists bending and flexing, but continued wear causes roughness and increased knot holding ability. An excellent insulator; polypro-pylene is used by utility companies for low dielectric loss and may be used safely around “hot” wires. Not recommended for use on bitts and capstans where heat is a factor because it tends to stick and fuse. Although an ultraviolet inhibitor (UV) is added during the extrusion process, this rope will lose strength depending upon the amount of ultraviolet radiation is it exposed to. This rope floats and is unaffected by rot, mildew, oil, gasoline, water and most chemicals. Polypropylene has a low flammability, but will still burn very slowly.
Yellow is our standard color, but other colors are also available.
